Aston Villa and Tottenham pursue Kessie

According to a recent report from AS, Aston Villa and Tottenham may not need to pay much to sign Franck Kessie.

It’s been well known that Kessie has been on his way out of Barcelona for a while. The 25-year-old midfielder just can’t quite seem to settle into life at the Nou Camp on a consistent basis and because of that, he’s been drawing the attention of a whole lot of teams.

Aston Villa and Tottenham, two sides hoping to start pushing towards greener pastures in the months and years ahead, can see his potential. As it turns out, they may only need to pay a fee of around €10 million to lure him away from the Spanish giants.

It’ll still likely take some convincing and there will undoubtedly be a bit of a bidding war, but it seems like the process has already begun.

The early discussion suggests that either could make a move in time for the January transfer window.
