Aston Villa increase Wilson bid

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Aston Villa have increased their bid for Callum Wilson to £21 million.

The belief is that Villa have entered into something of a bidding war with Newcastle United, but Wilson prefers the idea of a move up north to join the Magpies.

Villa have already been making some noise during the summer transfer window but with just days remaining until the new Premier League season begins, they’ll clearly want to add a few more new faces before they get underway.

Wilson has been impressing teams up and down the country during his time with Bournemouth, and after overcoming some injury problems, he’s been firing on all counts.

He’s got the potential to go on and have many more great seasons at the highest level both domestically and internationally, but if he’s going to do that, he needs to make a decision sooner rather than later.
