Bale teases Cardiff switch

According to a recent report from WalesOnline, Gareth Bale visited Cardiff City’s training base this morning as speculation over his future continues.

The Welshman, who played a key role in getting Wales to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this winter, is preparing to finally leave Real Madrid and search for pastures new. He’ll largely be doing so to make sure he stays fit in time for the aforementioned World Cup but as well as that, we imagine he’ll just enjoy the challenge in a general sense.

The expiration of his Real contract means he’s free to do whatever he pleases and as per the report, Bale held talks with Cardiff manager Steve Morison and discussed what will be next for him in his career.

The Bluebirds are Bale’s hometown side and they’ll look at the upcoming campaign as a real opportunity to try and push back into the promotion conversation.
