Barcelona could be set for bargain Reina deal

Liverpool could sell Pepe Reina to Barcelona for £4m at the end of this season, the Express understands.

The Spain international is currently on loan with Napoli, where he has kept five clean sheets in eleven league games to help Rafael Benitez’s side to second place in Seire A.

The Naples side have suggested that they do not want to secure a permanent deal for the 31 year, while he would be likely to find his chances limited should he return to Anfield, with Simon Mignolet established as Liverpool’s number one.

His contract with the Merseyside club runs until summer 2016, but it is understood that the club will accept a cut-price offer to allow to him to move on.

Reina began his career in Barcelona’s youth academy, and went on to make thirty La Liga appearances before moving to Villarreal in 2002, and on to Liverpool three years later.
