According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona pulled out of a last minute deal to sign Hector Bellerin on loan from Arsenal.

The belief is that Ronald Koeman was the one who actually decided to block the move and instead, Bellerin made his way over to fellow Spanish club Real Betis for the season. It’s no secret that Bellerin has been linked with a move away from the Emirates for quite some time but as per this report, Barca clearly didn’t feel as if he could offer anything to their first team that they didn’t already have.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are having a tough start to the new Premier League season with many wondering whether or not they’ve still got what it takes to make a sustained push for the top six.

Whether they do or don’t, Betis seem to be happy with their decision to bring Bellerin on board.
