The Catalan media outlet Sport is reporting that Barcelona have entered the race for AS Monaco star Thomas Lemar.

The French forward is said to have been identified as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann who looks set for Atletico Madrid stay.

Barcelona are only the latest in a long line of clubs interested in the 22-year-old Frenchman who was close to moving to Arsenal during the last summer’s transfer deadline day.

With the likes of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid also vying for Lemar’s signature, Barcelona are well aware that only a notable bid – believed to be in excess of €90 million – would be enough for them to bring the highly-rated AS Monaco player to Camp Nou.

AS Monaco were said to have already rejected a €100 million bid from Arsenal last August which is enough to suggest that a similar fee would be required this year in order to prise Lemar away from the Principality club.
