Barcelona not interested in Kante

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have no current plans to complete the signing of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent months, with two of the primary contenders being Juventus and Real Madrid. 

Both sides have made strides towards getting him on the books in one way or another, but there hasn’t been any official confirmation as to how far the process has been taken forward. Either way, though, Chelsea fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears like Barca aren’t going to be throwing themselves into the mix. 

Kante is widely considered to be one of the leading central midfielders in world football, but has had an inconsistent season at Chelsea by his own standards. Of course, even at that level, Kante is still head and shoulders above most of his peers.
