Barcelona want Morata

According to a report from Sport, Barcelona are considering the possibility of bringing Alvaro Morata to the Nou Camp on loan. The somewhat startling deal would see Morata take a break from his somewhat disappointing tenure at Stamford Bridge, which has seen him somewhat fail to live up to expectations. He’s certainly been able to pop up with a few important goals here and there, but in terms of being a consistent goalscorer for the Blues, it hasn’t quite worked out that way.

Barca are currently in the midst of a campaign which could easily see them win the treble, and as such, they’ll need reinforcements. It’s no secret that they’ve been looking into the possibility of replacing Luis Suarez sooner rather than later, and testing the waters with Morata on loan could be an interesting way to go.

Barcelona are currently leading the way in La Liga, whereas Chelsea are battling it out for a spot in the top four of the Premier League.
