Barcelona’s start of 2020 has been far from good. There have been too much turmoil and too man scandals surrounding the squad and the boardroom, there was a managerial change too and the results have not been ideal, with Real Madrid taking over the La Liga standings after a 2-0 win in El Clasico.
But Barcelona want to try and create some positive headlines and improve the mood and one such move could be offering a new contract to one of their main players. According to ESPN, Barca will table a new contract offer for the German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. They are expected to offer him a new deal before the end of 2020, as Barcelona want to keep hold of him.
Ter Stegen has been spectacular in Barca’s goal, often helping them massively, and his current contract is set to end in 2022. Barcelona want to prolong it and keep the German safe at their club.
