Bayern Munich to make James Rodriguez loan deal permanent

Bundesliga title holders Bayern Munich are looking to trigger a purchase option in James Rodriguez’s loan deal, according to Marca.

Real Madrid playmaker moved to Germany last summer in a two-year loan agreement Bayern Munich paid €10 million for, whereas the Bavarian heavyweights also made sure to insert a €35 million buy-out clause in the Colombian international’s deal.

A permanent deal for James is on the cards no, according to reports, with Bayern Munich looking to complete the switch by the end of the year.

The 27-year-old midfielder settled really well and rediscovered his form at the Allianz Arena. He made 40 appearances for Bayern Munich last season, scoring eight goals and providing 13 assists across the Bundesliga and Champions League.

James Rodriguez already has two goals on his tally this season, despite making just one start for Bayern Munich thus far in the season.
