Big City Ndombele bid rejected

According to reports over in France, Premier League champions Manchester City had a £44.8 million bid turned down for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele back in the summer. The defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad to the point where Lyon have actively come out and commented on the matter, but it would appear as if the moneybag kings of England will have to go back to the drawing board in January if they want to lure him over to English football.

Ndombele has been one of the shining lights for Lyon in their rise back up through the ranks of Ligue 1, and while they’ve still got a long way to go, the general belief is that they will be able to challenge Paris Saint-Germain for the title in the not so distant future so long as they’re able to keep hold of their star players – and, of course, that includes Tanguy.
