Bitesize Prediction: Bournemouth vs Reading – 15/03/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Dominic Solanke to score anytime

Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Championship table, Bournemouth will welcome Reading to the Vitality on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to cruise their way to a routine 2-0 win against relegation scrappers Derby a few days ago, there is no doubt that Bournemouth will be smelling another golden chance here. Finding a route back into the top-two and with many tipping Scott Parker’s men to make an automatic Premier League return this season, the former Fulham boss has seen his side lose just a single Championship matchup since January 22nd. Appearing to have put their FA Cup defeat at the hands of National League outfit Boreham Wood behind them, Bournemouth also have one attacking talisman who has gained a host of plaudits this season. Once again finding the net against Derby on Saturday afternoon, former Liverpool starlet Dominic Solanke has racked up 21 Championship strikes this season, the second-best tally in the division.

As for the visitors, while Bournemouth might find themselves battling it out in the top-two chase, Reading are simply scrapping it out to maintain their Championship status this season. Putting in another woeful display over the weekend and suffering a 4-0 drumming away at play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest, Paul Ince’s new side find themselves looking over their shoulder at the drop zone. Despite finding a much-welcomed boost last month, the one-time Wolves boss has seen his side lose each of their last three second-tier contests on the spin. With their recent issues highlighted by a 4-1 defeat against Blackpool, there is no doubt that the Royals face a huge task at the Vitality on Tuesday. Given the huge recent gulf in class, it is hard to see anything other than a routine night’s work for the relegation scrappers here.

Bet: Dominic Solanke 19/20 to score anytime against Reading in Tuesday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
