Bitesize Prediction: Bristol City vs Norwich – 11/02/23

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

In what could prove to be a lively Championship affair from the Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon, Bristol City will host Norwich.

Starting with the hosts, while Bristol City might have signed off 2022 in the midst of an extended rut, the Robins have come roaring back in some style. Last seen putting in another eye-catching display as they clinched a 2-1 victory away at Preston, Nigel Pearson’s men have come skyrocketing up the Championship table. Now with their sights set on trying to find a route into the top-half, the one-time Watford boss finds his side enjoying an eight-match unbeaten run across all formats. With the mood around Ashton Gate at the highest it has been in recent memory, Bristol City have also shown a recent clinical edge in the final third. While Saturday’s hosts might have grabbed just a single domestic clean sheet since opening the New Year, Pearson’s men have bagged 10 strikes in their previous four Championship outings.

As for the visitors, while Norwich might have claimed a pair of thumping victories against Coventry and Preston last month, the Canaries have certainly come crashing back down to earth. Last seen putting in a nightmare display as they were hit with a 3-0 drumming at home against Burnley, David Wagner’s men have now won just a pair of their last eight matchups across all formats. With that run stemming all the way back to December 10th, the former Huddersfield boss now finds his side facing an uphill struggle in their bid to secure a Premier League return. Showing a string of defensive issues and with their extended issues highlighted by a 2-1 loss at the hands of Luton, Wagner’s side could face a tricky test on Saturday afternoon. It should be noted, with four of the last five meetings between Bristol City and Norwich finishing with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome.

Bet: Both teams to score at Bristol City vs Norwich 4/5 for Saturday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
