Competition: Brazil Serie B

Market: Both teams to score – No

Odds: 2/3 @ Pribet

In what could prove to be another cagey Serie B showdown on Sunday afternoon, Brusque will welcome Guarani to Santa Catarina.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another toothless performance earlier in the week as they eventually fell to a 1-0 loss away at Paysandu, Brusque have accepted that they will be making an immediate third-tier return over the next week. Struggling to find any kind of stability among Brazil’s Serie B this year, Marcelo Cabo’s men are limping their way over the finishing line. Signing off October with another 1-0 loss against Chapecoense, the Santa Catarina-based outfit have now lost each of their previous five consecutive appearances. Along with losing each of their last three showdowns by a 1-0 scoreline, Sunday’s hosts have continued to gain a reputation for their glaring issues in the final third. Along with drawing four Serie B blanks in a row, Brusque have also recorded just a pair of second-tier strikes over the past six weeks. It should also be highlighted, Cabo’s camp have recorded just a sole strike at the Augusto Bauer in over 300 minutes of action.

As for the visitors, also losing their Serie B status last weekend, Guarani find themselves in an almost identical position to Sunday’s opponents. Putting in another downbeat performance last weekend as they played out an uneventful 0-0 stalemate at home against Amazonas, the Bugre have collected just a single point from any of their previous four appearances against second-tier opposition. Opening November with a 1-0 loss at the hands of Goias, Pintado’s men have also shown their own glaring issues in the final third. Including a 4-0 drumming against Sport Recife last month, Guarani have failed to find the net on their four-match losing rut. Sat rock-bottom of the Serie B table and drawing consecutive blanks outside of Sao Paulo, Sunday’s guests have also registered just a sole strike on their travels over the past month. In what should prove to be another cagey affair this weekend, we are expecting chances to come at a real premium.

Bet: Both teams *not* to score at Brusque vs Guarani  2/3 for Sunday’s Brazil Serie B matchup @ Pribet
