Competition: League One

Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport

In a League One showdown that could prove to be another enjoyable affair on Tuesday night, Cambridge will welcome Charlton to the Abbey Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, while Cambridge might almost find themselves sat in League One limbo, Mark Bonner’s men should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Last seen putting in a hugely impressive play as they snatched a 2-1 victory away at leading promotion contenders Wigan a few days ago, the U’s have their sights set on clinching a top-half finish this season. Only making their third-tier return last summer, they have gained plenty of plaudits. In fact, aside from a 4-1 drumming at the hands of Wycombe earlier in the month, Cambridge have won four of their last five outings, a run that stems back to March 19th. However, although Tuesday’s hosts might be enjoying a recent flurry in the final third, it should be highlighted that Bonner’s men have won just one of their last four showdowns at the Abbey Stadium.

As for the visitors, although Charlton might have enjoyed an initial boost when bringing in Johnnie Jackson, it appears that the one-time Premier League outfit are seeking some stability. Eventually suffering a shock 3-2 defeat at home against Morecambe a few days ago, the Addicks have now won just one of their previous four League One matchups. Still battling it out in the bottom-half of the table, the Londoners have at least found a recent boost on the road. Including an eye-catching 1-0 victory against Rotherham last time away from the Valley, Tuesday’s guests have collected seven points from their last three contests on the road. Likewise, picking up a 2-0 win when they hosted Cambridge back on December 11th, we’re backing what could be another enjoyable affair here.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Cambridge United vs Charlton 4/11 for Tuesday’s League One matchup @ 888sport
