Bitesize Prediction: Coventry vs Huddersfield – 28/01/23

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 10/11 @ 888sport

In what could prove to be a lively Championship showdown on Saturday afternoon, Coventry will welcome Huddersfield to the Midlands.

Starting with the hosts, last seen putting in what was another hugely worrying display on home soil, Coventry find themselves in the midst of a real rut. Eventually getting hit with a 4-2 drumming at the hands of Norwich, the Sky Blues have come freefalling down the Championship table. Likewise, crashing out of the FA Cup on January 7th as they suffered a remarkable 4-3 loss at the hands of National League outfit Wrexham, Mark Robins’ men have lost each of their last three matchups across all formats. Continuing to show some rather glaring defensive issues since opening 2023, Coventry have also recorded just a single win from any of their last nine outings – a run that stems all the way back to November 12th. It should also be noted, Saturday’s hosts have seen each of their previous three home fixtures finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, while Huddersfield might have signed off 2022 with back-to-back Championship victories, it appears that might have just been a minor boost for the Terriers. Crashing back down to earth after reaching last season’s play-off final, Mark Fotheringham’s men now find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat three points adrift in the drop zone, the Yorkshire-based outfit have continued to show their own defensive struggles on either side of the World Cup break. With their extended blip underlined by a 3-1 drumming away at Preston on January 7th, Huddersfield have recorded just a sole clean sheet since the middle of November. Wit each of the last three meetings between Saturday’s opponents finishing with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Both teams to score at Coventry vs Huddersfield 10/11 for Saturday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
