Competition: Bundesliga

Market: Eintracht Frankfurt double chance

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

Looking to cause an upset on home soil and try to break back into the top-four, Eintracht Frankfurt will welcome Borrusia Dortmund to Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday evening.

Starting with the hosts, managing to head into the festive break with a deserved 1-0 victory against Mainz on home soil, Eintracht Frankfurt should be relishing their return to action here. Gaining plenty of plaudits from across Germany under Head Coach Oliver Glasner, the Eagles signed off 2021 with three Bundesliga wins on the bounce. With their recent purple patch highlighted by an action-packed 5-2 win against Bayer Leverkusen last month, Frankfurt will be smelling the chance to cause a real upset on Saturday evening. With many in their camp believing that they can mount a serious top-four charge this season, the former Wolfsburg boss has also seen his side lose just one of their previous 11 matchups across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to October 24th.

As for the visitors, while Borussia Dortmund might have opened the 2021/22 campaign believing that they could mount a serious Bundesliga title charge this season, Marco Rose’s new squad have once again struggled with their consistency. Last seen heading into the festive break with an action-packed 3-2 loss away at Hertha Berlin, BVB have managed to win just four of their previous 10 matchups across all formats. Marking their return to action this weekend sat nine points adrift of the defending champions, the former Borussia Mönchengladbach boss has seen his side gain a reputation for their issues on the road. With just a pair of victories to their name outside of rural Germany since way back on September 15th, it should also be noted that Dortmund have won just one of their last eight trips to Deutsche Bank Park.

Bet: Eintracht Frankfurt double chance against Borussia Dortmund 4/5 for Saturday’s Bundesliga battle @ 888sport
