Competition: Bundesliga

Market: Freiburg win

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Bundesliga table, Freiburg will make the trip to Sportpark Ronhof when they faceoff against Furth on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Furth might have managed to make a shock Bundesliga return last season, Stefan Leitl’s side are in a real uphill battle to maintain on their top-flight status. Last seen putting in a woeful display as they were hit with a 6-1 drumming against RB Leipzig on home soil, the Cloverleaves are in the midst of a nightmare run of form. Showing a host of issues at the back, the Bavaria-based outfit have collected just a single point from their last four outings. Sat rock-bottom of the table and now 11 points adrift of safety, there is no doubt that fans around the Sportpark Ronhof will be bracing themselves for another stern test here. Hit with a 3-1 defeat when the two sides met earlier in the season, it should be noted that they have lost each of their last five meetings against the European chasers.

As for the visitors, while Furth might be freefalling their way out of the Bundesliga this season, Freiburg have only continued to gain a host of plaudits from across Germany. Last seen picking up an action-packed 3-2 win against Wolfsburg on home soil, Head Coach Christian Streich finds his side sat in pole position to book a European finish this year. Booking their spot in the semi-finals of the DFP Pokal thanks to a 2-1 win against Bochum earlier in the month, the Reds are unbeaten in each of their last six matchups across all formats. Making the trip to the Sportpark Ronhof with just their goal difference keeping them out of the Champions League places, Freiburg should be smelling a golden chance here. Winning each of their last five matchups against the relegation scrappers, we’re backing a similar away win here.

Bet: Freiburg 8/11 to beat Furth in Saturday’s Bundesliga battle @ 888sport
