Bitesize Prediction: Hull City vs Birmingham City – 16/10/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Birmingham City double chance

Odds: 8/15 @ 888sport

Looking to make it back-to-back Championship victories on Sunday afternoon, Birmingham will make the trip to a struggling Hull.

Starting with the hosts, while Hull might have managed to claim a much-needed 2-1 victory at home against Wigan earlier in the month, it appears that was just a minor boost for the Tigers. Sacking former boss Shota Arveladze after just eight months in charge following September’s international break, the Yorkshire-based outfit find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Last seen putting in another downbeat display as they were hit with a sluggish 2-0 loss away at Huddersfield, Hull are enduring a real Championship crisis. On a run that is underlined by a 3-0 drumming at home against Stoke last month, Sunday’s hosts have now lost six of their previous seven second-tier outings. Likewise, it should also be noted, the Tigers have collected just three points from a possible 12 at the KCOM.

As for the visitors, last seen putting in a rampant display on home soil, Birmingham should be smelling another golden chance on Sunday afternoon. Eventually breezing their way to a 3-0 romp at home against Bristol City, the Blues have continued on an impressive rise up the Championship table. With it looking like the mood around St. Andrew’s is at a recent high, John Eustace’s men have lost just one of their previous six outings. With that eye-catching run of form stemming all the way back to August 30th, Birmingham have also collected victories against the likes of West Brom and Preston on their impressive purple patch. Likewise, losing just one of their previous four matchups outside of the Midlands, we’re backing an away double chance at the KCOM here.
