Competition: Coppa Italia

Market: Juventus win

Odds: 1/2 @ 888sport

Looking to book their spot in the semi-final of this year’s Coppa Italia on Thursday night, Juventus will welcome Sassuolo to Turin.

Starting with the hosts, managing to pick up what was a deserved victory over the weekend, Juventus are enjoying what has been a welcomed boost in Turin. Largely managing to bounce back from their Super Cup defeat at the hands of Inter Milan, the Old Lady do appear to be enjoying life under returning boss Massimiliano Allegri. Keeping the mood in their camp at a high with a 2-0 win against Verona on Sunday, the Italian giants have lost just one of their last 13 matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to the end of November. With big-money January arrival Dušan Vlahović finding the net on his Juve debut over the weekend, it should be noted that Thursday’s hosts have continued to shine on home soil. In fact, including three straight wins, Allegri’s side have collected 19 points from just their last seven fixtures in Turin.

As for the visitors, putting in a woeful display over the weekend and hit with a 4-0 drumming against Sampdoria, Sassuolo will be more than aware that they face another stern test here. Slipping out the top-half of the Serie A table, Head Coach Alessio Dionisi finds his side in the midst of what has been an extended blip on either side of the New Year’s break. It should be highlighted, the Neroverdi have won just a trio of their last 11 matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to November 28th. Suffering that 4-0 hammering at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Sunday, the midweek guests have also won just one of their previous five matchups on the road. Given the recent gulf in class between the two sides, it is hard to see anything other than a routine home win for the Italian giants here.
