Competition: US Open Cup

Market: Los Angeles FC draw no bet

Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport

In a real American derby showdown in midweek, LA Galaxy will welcome Los Angeles to Dignity Health Sports Park in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Starting with the hosts, last seen over the weekend when putting in a hugely worrying display, LA Galaxy find themselves in the midst of an extended rut. Eventually hit with a woeful 3-0 drumming against Houston, Head Coach Greg Vanney has seen his side fail to win any of their last three MLS contests. With their recent issues highlighted by a 3-1 defeat against Dallas on May 15th, the Whites have also shown some rather glaring problems at the back. Despite booking Thursday’s US Open Cup showdown thanks to a 3-2 win away at lower-league California United, the Galaxy have recorded just a single clean sheet over the past month. Although Varney’s men might have picked up a 2-1 victory when they faced off against their local rivals on April 10th, the American giants will know that they face a real task here.

As for the visitors, managing to make a much-welcomed return to winning ways last weekend, there is no doubt that Los Angeles will be desperate to keep up that momentum here. Last seen picking up a deserved 2-0 victory against Columbus on the road, Head Coach Steve Cherundolo finds his side at the top of the Western Conference. Booking Thursday’s trip to Dignity Health Sports Park thanks to a 2-0 win against Portland earlier in the month, LAFC have lost just a pair of their last nine matchups across all formats. Likewise, winning four of their last six MLS contests on the road, Los Angeles should be smelling the chance to lay down a US Open Cup marker here. Despite suffering that 2-1 defeat when they faced off against Thursday’s hosts last month, an away draw no bet can be found an appealing odds in midweek.

Bet: Los Angeles draw no bet against LA Galaxy 7/10 for Thursday’s US Open Cup tie @ 888sport
