Competition: Bundesliga

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/6 @ 888sport

In what could be a contest that sees chances at both ends of the pitch on Sunday afternoon, Borussia Dortmund will make the trip to Mainz.

Starting with the hosts, last seen putting in a real downbeat display as they were hit with a shock 3-1 drumming away at Union Berlin, there is no doubt that Mainz will be seeking an immediate response this weekend. Still battling it out in the top-half of the Bundesliga table and gaining plenty of plaudits from across Germany this season, Head Coach Christian Heidel has seen his side win just a pair of their last seven outings. However, despite facing a stern test here, Sunday’s hosts should be boosted by their continued success on home soil. On a run that is highlighted by a stunning 3-2 win against leading Champions League chasers Bayer Leverkusen last time out at the MEWA Arena, it should be noted that Mainz have won five of their last six home fixtures, a run that stems back to November 21st.

As for the visitors, last seen having to settle for what was a disappointing 1-1 draw away at Augsburg, it is fair to say that Borussia Dortmund are seeking some much-needed stability. Crashing out of the Europa League last month thanks to a thrilling 6-4 aggregate defeats against Scottish outfit Rangers, Marco Rose’s side have gained a reputation for their rather glaring issues at the back. With it looking like their stellar 6-0 romp against Borussia Mönchengladbach on February 20th could have just been a minor boost, BVB have won just a pair of their last six matchups across all formats. Desperate to welcome back attacking talisman Erling Haaland, we could be in for another action-packed affair on Sunday afternoon. With the two sides seeing each of their last three meetings finish with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Both teams to score at Mainz vs Borussia Dortmund 4/6 for Sunday’s Bundesliga battle @ 888sport
