Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Under 2.5 goals

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

In another Segunda showdown that could be another low-scoring affair on Saturday evening, Malaga will welcome Huesca to the La Rosaleda.

Starting with the hosts, while Malaga might have opened March with a much-needed victory against Amorebieta, it appears that might be just a minor boost for the Spanish strugglers. Still a million miles away from securing a La Liga return, Head Coach Natxo González has once again see his side battle it out at the foot of the second-tier table this season. Last seen getting hit with a toothless 1-0 defeat away at Fuenlabrada, the Andalusia-based outfit have won just one of their previous 10 outings, a run that stems all the way back to January 3rd. With some in their camp still firmly looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, Malaga have also shown some extended issues in the final third. Likewise, it should also be highlighted that Sunday’s hosts have seen six of their last seven Segunda matchups finish with under 2.5 goals.

As for the visitors, managing to pick up their first victory of June last weekend thanks to a 1-0 win at home against Burgos, there is no doubt that Huesca will be looking to build off of that display. Almost sat in Segunda limbo, the Oscenses should be boosted by a largely impressive run since opening 2022. Really pushing themselves away from any potential relegation scrap, Head Coach and former Watford boss Xisco Muñoz has seen his side lose just a pair of their last seven Segunda contests. Despite potentially being handed the chance to lay down a marker here, it should be noted that Saturday’s opponents did play out a 0-0 stalemate when they faced off for their reverse meeting in October. In a contest that could once again be another low-scoring affair, we’re backing under 2.5 goals at the La Rosaleda.

Bet: Under 2.5 goals at Malaga vs Huesca 8/11 for Sunday’s Segunda battle @ 888sport
