Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Mirandes win

Odds: 23/20 @ 888sport

Looking to sign off their Segunda campaign with a flurry on Friday night, Mirandes will welcome Fuenlabrada to the Estadio Municipal de Anduva.

Starting with the hosts, making an immediate return to losing ways after a toothless display last weekend, Mirandes do have the feel of a side limping their way over the finish line. With it already confirmed that Joseba Etxeberria’s side will have to settle for a bottom-half finish this season, the Blues have now lost five of their last six outings. However, managing to find a much-needed boost earlier in the month as they picked up a 4-0 romp against Ibiza, they have at least continued to impress on home soil this year. Despite enduring what has been a worrying blip over the past month, it should be highlighted that Mirandes have won five of their previous six Segunda contests at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva, a run that stems all the way back to the middle of February. Simply looking to sign off their campaign with a flurry, Etxeberria’s men should be smelling a chance here.

As for the visitors, while Fuenlabrada might have managed to pick up a 0-0 stalemate against Gijon last weekend, José Ramón Sandoval’s men have long since had their fate confirmed. Freefalling their way down to Spain’s third-tier and still sat 12 points adrift of safety heading into the final weekend, the Blues have collected just a single Segunda victory from their last 11 attempts, a run that stems all the way back to March 19th. Likewise, suffering a 2-1 loss when they made the trip to Madrid last season, it should also be highlighted that Fuenlabrada have failed to win any of their last five straight meeting against Friday’s hosts. While Mirandes might be in the midst of a recent rut, we’re backing a home victory here.

Bet: Mirandes 23/20 to beat Fuenlabrada in Friday’s Spanish Segunda showdown @ 888sport
