Competition: A-League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 8/13 @ 1xBet

Desperate to make up some ground in the play-off chase, Central Coast will travel to Perth on Friday morning.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another downbeat display last time out as they fell to a 2-0 loss at home against Melbourne Victory, Perth find themselves at the centre of yet another A-League struggle. Lifting the wooden spoon last season as they finished rock-bottom of the table, David Zdrilic’s men are once again scrapping it out at the foot of the standings. Putting just nine points on the board from any of their 16 A-League appearances, the Glory have also clinched just a single victory since December 21st. Getting the New Year underway with an action-packed 3-2 loss against Western United, Perth have also continued to show some glaring defensive issues. Signing off 2024 with a 3-0 drumming at home against Macarthur, Friday’s hosts have already conceded 39 A-League goals so far this season. It should also be highlighted, Zdrilic’s camp have conceded at least a pair of goals in seven of their last eight appearances.

As for the visitors, while Central Coast might have successfully defended their A-League crown last season as they made real history, the Mariners have struggled to find any kind of stability this time around. Now having to settle for consecutive 2-2 stalemates against Newcastle and Western United, Mark Jackson’s side have recorded just a single victory from any of their previous five appearances. Coming under real scrutiny last month as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sydney, Friday’s guests have failed to collected back-to-back victories across any competition so far this season. Despite getting 2025 underway with a 3-1 victory away at Brisbane, Central Coast have also shown their own respective defensive issues. Including another 4-1 drumming against Auckland on December 28th, the Mariners have recorded just a sole clean sheet from any of their last 16 straight outings – a run that stems all the way back to October 18th.

Bet: Both teams to score at Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners 8/13 for Friday’s A-League showdown @ 1xBet
