Bitesize Prediction: RB Leipzig vs Rangers – 28/04/22

Competition: Europa League

Market: RB Leipzig win

Odds: 1/2 @ 888sport

Looking to cause an upset on foreign soil on Thursday night, Rangers will make the trip to German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt for what could be an enjoyable affair.

Starting with the hosts, hit with what was a disappointing 2-1 loss at home against Union Berlin last weekend, RB Leipzig will be desperate to find an immediate boost here. Despite that downbeat display at the Red Bull Arena a few days ago, there is no doubt that they have largely impressed since bringing in Domenico Tedesco. Skyrocketing their way up the Bundesliga table and now sat in pole position to book another Champions League finish, the Whites have remarkably lost just one of their previous 16 outings across all formats. With that eye-catching run of form stemming all the way back to a 3-2 loss against Bayern Munich on February 5th, the former Schalke boss has also seen his side gain plenty of plaudits from across Europe. Coming past Italian outfit Atalanta earlier in the month, Leipzig should be smelling a chance here.

As for the visitors, while Rangers might find themselves in a real uphill battle to retain their Premiership crown this season, they are enjoying a recent purple patch. Picking up some perfect momentum last weekend as they picked up a 3-1 victory away at Motherwell, Head Coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst has seen his side win each of their last four outings. Lifting the Scottish Cup on April 17th when they picked up a dramatic 2-1 win against bitter rivals Celtic, the Scottish giants still have their sights set on making European history this season. Along with knocking out Braga after a dramatic 3-2 aggregate win, the Blues also shocked everyone across the continent as they picked up the scalps on Borussia Dortmund. However, despite enjoying a recent boost, Rangers will know that they face a stern test out in Germany here.
