Competition: Brazil Serie A

Market: Under 2.5 goals

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Two sides who should find the mood in their camp at a real high, Sao Paulo will welcome Ceara to the Morumbi late on Saturday night.

Starting with the hosts, last seen earlier in the week when putting in a professional display on Copa Sudamericana duties, Sao Paulo find themselves in the midst of a real purple patch. Eventually picking up a 1-0 victory against Peruvian outfit Ayacucho, Head Coach Rogério Ceni has seen his side make a host of improvements since opening the 2022 campaign. Last seen on Serie A action grabbing an eye-catching 1-1 draw away at Brazilian heavyweights Corinthians, Tricolor Paulista are enjoying an 11-match unbeaten run across all formats. Likewise, along with continuing to shine with a remarkable 11-match winning run at the Morumbi, they have also continued to shine at the back. It should be noted, the title contenders have conceded just a single strike from any of their last four contests in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, while Ceara might still find themselves firmly battling it out at the foot of the Serie A table, they are in the midst of their own impressive purple patch. Last seen picking up an eye-catching 2-0 victory away at Argentinian outfit Independiente, the Vozão are now enjoying a five-match unbeaten run across all formats. However, despite opening this weekend’s fixtures sat way down in 19th and two points adrift of safety, Head Coach Dorival Júnior should be boosted by his side’s recent resolve at the back. Including a 0-0 stalemate away at Santos on May 21st, Ceara have kept a clean sheet in four of their previous five outings. While we might have a battle between two sides scrapping it out at opposite ends of the Serie A table, we’re backing what could be a low-scoring affair here.

Bet: Under 2.5 goals at Sao Paulo vs Ceara 8/11 for Saturday’s Brazil Serie A battle @ 888sport
