Bitesize Prediction: Sheffield Wednesday vs Norwich – 05/11/24

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 2/3 @ 1xBet

In what could prove to be a lively Championship affair on Tuesday night, Norwich will travel to Hillsborough when they meet Sheffield Wednesday.

Starting with the hosts, while Sheffield Wednesday might have entered October’s international break in the midst of a real Championship flurry, the Owls have come crashing back down to earth. Last seen over the weekend, putting in a worrying performance at Hillsborough as they slumped to a 6-2 drumming at the hands of Watford, Danny Rohl’s side are once again looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap. In fact, aside from securing a much-needed 2-1 win away at fellow strugglers Portsmouth on October 25th, that is the only win that Tuesday’s hosts have collected from any of their previous five appearances across all competitions. Crashing out of the EFL Cup last week following penalties heartbreak against Premier League outfit Brentford, Rohl’s camp have also gained a reputation for their extended defensive struggles. It should be highlighted, Sheffield Wednesday have registered just a sole clean sheet from any of their last six consecutive showdown sat Hillsborough – a run that stems back to the opening weekend.

As for the visitors, although Norwich might have entered October’s international break with a stellar 4-0 romp at home against Hull, the Canaries have struggled to find much stability since returning from the fortnight interval. Suffering a dramatic late collapse away at Cardiff over the weekend as they eventually fell to a 2-1 loss in South Wales, Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side are without a win from any of their previous four Championship appearances and have come tumbling down the table. Signing off October with an action-packed 3-3 stalemate against Middlesbrough, Tuesday’s guests have also continued to show some real issues on the road. Aside from a 3-2 victory against Derby on September 28th, Norwich have failed to win any of their other four showdowns away from Carrow Road. It should also be highlighted, with Thorup’s men seeing all of their previous four battles outside of Norfolk finish with both teams finding the net, we are expecting a similar outcome on Tuesday night.

Bet: Both teams to score at Sheffield Wednesday vs Norwich 2/3 for Tuesday’s Championship showdown @ 1xBet
