Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport

Two Premier League outfits who are looking to extend on their FA Cup adventure on Wednesday night, Southampton will host West Ham in midweek.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another eye-catching display over the weekend and claiming a deserved 2-0 win against relegation scrappers Norwich, Southampton are enjoying a real purple patch. Gaining plenty of plaudits since opening the New Year, Ralph Hasenhüttl’s men will be desperate to lay down another marker at St. Mary’s. Finding a way to build off of their action-packed 3-2 win against Tottenham in north London, the one-time RB Leipzig boss has remarkably seen his side lose just one of their last 12 matchups across all formats. Managing to pick up points against both Manchester City and Manchester United on their eye-catching charge, it should also be highlighted that Southampton are unbeaten on the south coast since way back on September 26th, an 11-match unbeaten run.

As for the visitors, while West Ham might have shown some issues over the past couple of months, David Moyes’ side managed to find a much-needed boost over the weekend. Claiming what could turn out to be a crucial 1-0 win against fellow European contenders Wolves on home soil, the former Manchester United boss has his sights set on guiding his side to a maiden Champions League finish. Cruising their way to the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League and with a trip out to Spanish giants Sevilla later in the month, West Ham will be desperate to make it back-to-back wins here. However, it should be noted, suffering an action-packed 3-2 defeat when they welcomed Southampton to the London Stadium on Boxing Day, we’re backing what could be another enjoyable meeting on Wednesday night.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Southampton vs West Ham 4/11 for Wednesday’s FA Cup tie @ 888sport
