Bitesize Prediction: Swansea vs Leeds – 24/11/24

Competition: Championship

Market: Leeds win

Odds: 19/20 @ BetUS

Hoping to find a route into the automatic promotion spots this weekend, Leeds will travel to the Liberty on Sunday afternoon when they meet Swansea.

Starting with the hosts, although Swansea might have claimed back-to-back Championship victories when opening November, Luke Williams’ men have struggled to find any real stability over the past couple of months. Heading into the fortnight interval with a 1-0 loss at the hands of Burnley, the Swans have recorded just a pair of wins from any of their previous nine Championship appearances. With that run stemming all the way back to September 21st, the former Notts County boss will also have a continued headache over his side’s extended issues in the final third. Signing off October with another 1-0 defeat at home against Millwall, Sunday’s hosts have failed to record more than a single strike in just one of those nine consecutive outings. With just their goal difference keeping them in the top-half of the Championship table, it should also be highlighted that Williams’ side have drawn a blank in six of their previous eight showdowns at the Liberty.

As for the visitors, making an immediate return to winning ways prior to November’s international break as they claimed a 2-0 win at home against QPR, Leeds find themselves pencilled in as a leading promotion contender this season. Despite falling to a 1-0 loss against Millwall earlier in the month, that is the only defeat that Daniel Farke’s side have suffered from any of their previous 10 straight appearances. With that flurry stemming all the way back to another 1-0 defeat against Burnley on September 14th, Leeds will be looking to skyrocket their way into the automatic promotion spots this weekend. Opening November with a 3-0 victory against Plymouth, the former Norwich boss will be excited by his side’s defensive steel. In fact, Sunday’s guests have conceded just a single strike in almost 400 minutes of action. It should also be noted, Leeds stormed their way to a 4-0 romp when they last travelled to the Vitality back on February 13th.
