Competition: Serie A

Market: Napoli to score in both halves

Odds: 11/10 @ 888sport

Hoping to try and close the buffer at the top of the Serie A table this weekend, Napoli will make the trip to the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium on Sunday evening.

Starting with the hosts, while Venezia might have shocked almost everyone across Italy as they booked a Serie A spot last summer, the Winged Lions are now in a real battle to extend on their top-flight status. Last seen prior to the brief winter break with a 2-1 defeat against defending champions Inter Milan on the road, Paolo Zanetti’s men mark their return in the midst of a six-match winless run. Likewise, it should also be noted that the Venice-based outfit have just a single win to their name from any of their previous 11 outings, a run that stems back to November 21st. With their recent issues highlighted by back-to-back 3-0 and 3-1 defeats against AC Milan and Lazio, Venezia should be bracing themselves for another tough test at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium here.

As for the visitors, while Napoli might have shown some recent issues over the past few months, Luciano Spalletti’s men will be boosted by the way they entered the winter break. Last seen on January 23rd picking up a thumping 4-1 win against Salernitana at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Sunday’s guests have at least claimed back-to-back Serie A wins for the first time since October. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures sat just four points adrift of top spot, the Blues will be smelling a golden chance on the road here. Still tipped as a landslide pick to claim a Champions League return this season, Napoli have also impressed with their displays outside of Naples. With just a single domestic defeat on their travels throughout the 2021/22 campaign, we’re backing an away victory this weekend.

Bet: Napoli to score in both halves against Venezia 11/10 for Sunday’s Serie A showdown @ 888sport
