Bitesize Prediction: West Ham vs Norwich City – 12/01/22

Competition: Premier League

Market: Manuel Lanzini to score anytime

Odds: 11/4 @ 888sport

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Premier League table, West Ham will welcome Norwich to the London Stadium on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while West Ham might have endured a December blip last month, the Hammers have come bouncing back over the past fortnight. Extending on their FA Cup adventure over the weekend as they picked up a 2-0 win against fellow Premier League outfit Leeds on home soil, David Moyes’ men should be smelling a golden chance in midweek. Sat just a single point adrift of finding a route back into the Champions League spots, the Hammers are enjoying a three-match winning run across all formats. Last seen on Premier League duties landing back-to-back 4-1 and 3-2 wins against Watford and Crystal Palace, it is worth keeping an eye out for attacking gem Manuel Lanzini in midweek. Once again finding the net against Leeds on Sunday, the Argentina playmaker has three goals in his last two outings.

As for the visitors, although Norwich might have managed to grab a 1-0 win away at Charlton on FA Cup duties over the weekend, Dean Smith’s new squad find themselves in the midst of another Premier League nightmare. Once again sat rock-bottom of the table and seen as a landslide pick to be hit with an immediate Championship return, the former Aston Villa boss has seen his struggling side lose each of their last five top-flight contests. Last seen getting hit with a 3-0 drumming against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, it should also be noted that Norwich have continued to gain a reputation for their rather glaring struggles at the back. Shipping 10 goals in just their last three Premier League defeats, the east Anglia outfit should be in for another tough test here.

Bet: Manuel Lanzini 11/4 to score anytime against Norwich in Wednesday’s Premier League showdown @ 888sport
