Competition: A-League

Market: Nicolas Milanovic to score anytime

Odds: 39/20 @ BetUS

Looking to make it three A-League victories on the bounce, Western Sydney will welcome Brisbane to the CommBank Stadium on Friday morning.

Starting with the hosts, while Western Sydney might have opened March in the midst of a real struggle, the Wanderers have certainly claimed a recent boost. Last seen putting in an eye-catching performance as they stormed their way to a 3-1 romp away at Macarthur, Marko Rudan’s men have also skyrocketed their way into the play-off places. Now collecting back-to-back A-League victories for the first time since the end of November, the former Wellington boss should be smelling the chance to make another statement here. Looking to shore up their spot in the top-six chase, Nicolas Milanovic should also be confident of extending on his recent free-scoring flurry. Coming off the bench and finding the net against Macarthur when returning from March’s international break, the ex-Wester United starlet has now bagged four goals in his previous six A-League showdowns. Also getting on the scoresheet in his last outing at the CommBank Stadium, Milanovic could play another leading role this weekend.

As for the visitors, marking their return from March’s international break with another downbeat display as they slumped to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Wellington, Brisbane have continued to show a string of A-League issues this season. Firmly battling it out at the foot of the table, Ruben Zadkovic appears to have a real job on his hands in Queensland. Including a 2-1 loss against Macarthur prior to the fortnight interval, the Lions have recorded just a single victory from any of their previous six appearances. Likewise, Brisbane have registered just a pair of wins from any of their last 11 outings – a rut that stems all the way back to January 14th. Signing off 2023 with an infamous 8-1 drumming against Melbourne City, Zadkovic will also have a huge headache over his side’s glaring struggles on the road. Along with a 3-2 defeat against Perth last month, Friday’s guests have collected just a single point from any of their previous seven showdowns away from Lang Park.

Bet: Nicolas Milanovic to score anytime against Brisbane Roar 39/20 for Friday’s A-League battle @ BetUS
