Competition: Bundesliga

Market: Wolfsburg draw no bet

Odds: 4/7 @ BetUS

Hoping to find a route into the top-half of the Bundesliga table, Wolfsburg will welcome Union Berlin to the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Wolfsburg might have only collected a single point from any of their first three Bundesliga appearances, the Wolves do appear to have turned a recent corner. Heading into November’s international break with a stellar display as they stormed their way to a 3-1 romp away at Heidenheim, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men will still be dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine European charge. Springing a real DFP Pokal upset on October 29th as they edged past Borussia Dortmund thanks to a 1-0 victory, the former Southampton boss should be relishing a return from November’s fortnight interval. Along with securing another 3-1 win against Bochum last month, Wolfsburg have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous seven domestic appearances across all competitions. Likewise, landing a 2-1 victory when they welcomed Saturday’s guests to the Volkswagen Arena last season, some in Hasenhuttl’s camp could be smelling a potential opportunity here.

As for the visitors, while Union Berlin might have come flying out of the traps when opening up the new campaign, Bo Svensson’s men did enter November’s international break in the midst of a minor wobble. Last seen settling for an uninspiring 0-0 stalemate at home against Freiburg, the Iron Ones have failed to win any of their previous four domestic appearances across all competitions. Getting November underway with a routine 3-0 drumming at the hands of Bayern Munich, Saturday’s guests are desperately seeking a clinical edge in the final third. Shockingly crashing out of the DFP Pokal last month following an infamous 2-0 loss against third-tier outfit Bielefeld, Union Berlin have failed to notch a single domestic strike in almost 300 minutes of action. It should also be highlighted, the former Mainz boss has seen his squad record just a sole victory on their travels so far this season.

Bet: Wolfsburg draw no bet against Union Berlin 4/7 for Saturday’s Bundesliga matchup @ BetUS
