Competition: Swiss Super League

Market: Both teams to score – No

Odds: 11/10 @ BetUS

Two sides who are seeking a Super League boost on Wednesday night, Zurich will welcome Lausanne to the Letzigrund.

Starting with the hosts, while Zurich might have come flying out of the traps when opening up the 2023/24 campaign, the Swiss giants have drastically struggled to find a similar level. Last seen suffering a late collapse away at Grasshoppers as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat, Bo Henriksen’s men are without a win from any of their previous five Super League appearances – a run that stems back to a stellar 3-1 victory against Young Boys on November 25th. Although FCZ might still be sat firmly in the driving seat to book a top-half return in 2024, the former Midtjylland boss will have a mounting headache over his side’s recent issues on home soil. Putting in a toothless display as they had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate against Basel on January 21st, Zurich have recorded just a single win from their last five Super League showdowns at the Letzigrund. It should also be highlighted, Wednesday’s hosts have bagged just one goal in over 300 minutes of action.

As for the visitors, while Lausanne might have secured a Super League return for this season, Ludovic Magnin’s side are facing a real battle to keep hold of their top-flight status. Battling it out at the foot of the table and with little to cheer about this year, the Vaud-based outfit have come crashing back down to earth since their November flurry. Along with collecting just a single point from any of their five appearances since opening the New Year, the Whites have also lost all of their previous three outings by an aggregate score of 4-1. With their Super League struggles underlined by a 5-0 loss at the hands of Grasshoppers on December 2nd, it is no surprise that Magnin’s men are tipped as a leading relegation contender this year. It should be noted, with Wednesday’s opponents playing out a 0-0 stalemate when they met for their reverse Super League showdown on September 23rd, we are expecting chances to come at a premium here.

Bet: Both teams *not* to score at Zurich vs Lausanne 11/10 for Wednesday’s Swiss Super League matchup @ BetUS
