Boateng open to Premier League switch

“I wouldn’t say no. I love watching the Premier League and I loved playing in it while I was there. For me, it was really unlucky because I was injured straightaway and then I didn’t play in the position they promised.

“I’m definitely down for it, it’s one of my favourite leagues, but I don’t know for the future. You never know… it’s not that I would never play there again, absolutely not.”

Those are the words of Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng who recently spoke about a potential return to the Premier League. Boateng spent one year with Manchester City prior to joining Bayern, and as of late, he’s been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Boateng is still considered by many to be one of the most well-rounded centre-backs in the modern day, but whether or not he can replicate that kind of form in the English top flight is another matter.
