Bordeaux loan out young defender to Troyes

Bordeaux have loaned out young defender Matthieu Saunier to Ligue 2 outfit Troyes. The 20 year old centre half has joined the 2001 Intertoto Cup on a season long loan to get more experience under his belt.

Saunier spent last season on loan at Rodez and made 25 appearances for them. He was part of the French U-17 team that took part in the FIFA U-17 World Championship in South Korea in 2007. France reached the quarterfinals of that tournament before losing to Spain on penalties.

Troyes have earned promotion from the Championnat National to Ligue 2 this season.
