Turning their attention to back to the DFB Pokal in midweek, a high-flying Borussia Dortmund will make the trip to a struggling Werder Bremen on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, hit with a 2-1 defeat away at Augsburg over the weekend, Werder Bremen have continued on what has been a woeful campaign. Now hit with back-to-back Bundesliga defeats, including a 3-0 hammering at home against Hoffenheim nine days ago, Head Coach Florian Kohfeldt has seen his side lose six of their last seven appearances, a run that stems back to the 1st of December. Now falling into the drop zone and the mood in their camp at a continued low, there is no doubt that fans around Bremen will be most concerned by their sides form on home soil. Along with an embarrassing 5-0 hammering against Koln, Tuesday’s hosts have lost their last four straight matches at the Weser Stadium.

As for the visitors, led by attacking sensation Erling Braut Håland over the weekend, Borussia Dortmund made yet another statement with their 5-0 win against Union Berlin on Saturday. Finding a route back into the top-four and the mood in their camp continuing to skyrocket, BVB have won their last three matches on the bounce and have sent shockwaves across Europe with their form in the final third. With the former Salzburg striker bagging six goals in his opening three Bundesliga matchups, Lucien Favre’s men have scored five goals in each of those three victories. Also continuing to shine while outside of rural Germany, we’re backing a high-flying Dortmund to come out on top in midweek.
