Borussia Dortmund back in for Neres?

According to various reports in Germany, Borussia Dortmund are planning on going after David Neres once again next year. While the 21 year old is scheduled to have three more years with Ajax, it certainly seems as if he’s gradually leaning more and more towards a move away from the Dutch club. His release fee is believed to be around £40 million which could tempt quite a few major clubs around Europe, with Dortmund being the front runners.

Neres is one of many high quality players that Ajax will be desperate to keep a hold of over the next few years, especially if they want to challenge in Europe. Dortmund, however, will be aiming to bolster their squad, as they continue to push Bayern Munich in the race for the Bundesliga title.

Dortmund’s next advance towards signing Neres, who joined Ajax from Sao Paulo last year, will likely come during the upcoming January transfer window.
