Borussia Dortmund set Bellingham limit

According to a recent report from Bild, Borussia Dortmund will not offer more than £18.1 million in their pursuit of Birmingham City star Jude Bellingham. The German giants are set to rival Manchester United in the race to sign the teenager, but they aren’t willing to trigger the £31.6 million release clause that has been placed on his contract with the Blues.

Many fans tend to believe that it’d be better for him to head on over to Germany, especially given the track record set by Jadon Sancho’s time with the club. However, if they want to get the deal done, they’ll probably have to work within Birmingham’s demands.

Given his age, it’s also worth considering how much of a change it’d be for him to leave the country. While this isn’t really an aspect of the game people think about all too much, it’s definitely going to play a role in negotiations.
