In what could be another lively encounter on Tuesday morning, a free-scoring Perth will make the trip to the Central Coast Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, while Central Coast might be continuing to show some glaring issues on the road, there is no doubt that the Mariners have begun to show some much-needed improvements on home soil. Desperate to avoid another campaign of lifting the wooden spoon, Head Coach Alen Stajcic has seen his side pick up back-to-back home victories against Western United and Adelaide. Even more impressive, Central Coast have lost just one of their opening five A-League matches in front of their own supporters and should be confident of causing what would be an upset on Tuesday morning.

As for the visitors, while a torrid start to the season may have seen Perth fighting a battle at the foot of the A-League, the reigning champions have begun to find a much-needed spark. Picking up three points thanks to a stunning 6-2 victory over the Newcastle Jets last week, the Purples find themselves enjoying a three-match winning run and Head Coach Tony Popovic will be most impressed by his side’s new-found clinical edge in the final third. Led by Bruno Fornaroli who has bagged three goals in his last three matchups, Perth have bagged 11 goals on their winning run and will be looking to make yet another statement on Tuesday.
