In what is an Italian heavyweight showdown, newly crowned champions Inter Milan will welcome Roma to the San Siro on Wednesday night in a matchup that could be a lively affair.

Starting with the hosts, wrapping up the Serie A title last week, Inter Milan have only continued on a remarkable campaign under Antonio Conte this season. Lifting their first domestic crown in a decade and with the mood in their camp at a red-hot high, the former Chelsea boss only saw his side lay down another marker over the weekend. While many might have felt that I Nerazzurri would take their foot off the gas after claiming the title, Inter were last seen on Saturday landing a stunning 5-1 romp at home against Sampdoria. With former Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez helping himself to a brace at the San Siro, it should also be noted that a high-flying Milan are unbeaten in each of their last 16 straight matchups across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to February 2nd.

As for the visitors, while Roma might have seen Manchester United end their European adventure last week, The Oranges appear to have built off of their second-leg display on home soil. Despite leaving it too late after that 6-2 drumming at Old Trafford, departing boss Paulo Fonseca saw his side pick up a 3-2 win at the Stadio Olimpico on May 6th. With it confirmed that former Inter boss Jose Mourinho will be taking charge as of next season, Roma were last seen over the weekend putting on a clinical display at home against Crotone. Cruising their way to a thumping 5-0 romp, it should be noted that Wednesday’s opponents have a habit of producing fireworks when they meet. Playing out back-to-back 2-2 draws, we’re backing a similar outcome and another lively meeting in Milan this week.
