Both teams to score at Newcastle vs Arsenal 8/11 for Sunday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Desperate to try and find a much-needed boost this weekend, Arsenal will make the trip to a resurging Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Newcastle might have entered March’s international break in the midst of a real struggle, the mood in their camp should really be on the rise. Breathing new life into their charge for safety, Steve Bruce’s side now find themselves in pole position to extend on their Premier League status. Holding a commanding nine-point buffer over the drop zone and enjoying what is arguably their brightest run of the campaign, the one-time Sunderland boss saw his side put in another eye-catching display last time out. Managing to build off of that action-packed 3-2 win against Champions League dreamers West Ham a fortnight ago, Newcastle snatched a deserved last-gasp point away at Anfield last week. Including a 2-2 draw against Tottenham on April 4th, Sunday’s hosts are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matchups.

As for the visitors, while the mood in Newcastle’s camp could be on the rise, Arsenal find themselves in the midst of another public pressure. Hit with a 2-1 defeat away at Villereal on Europa League duties earlier in the week, the pressure appears to be firmly on Mikel Aretat’s shoulders. Continuing to break a string of unwanted records this season, The Gunners are now in an uphill battle to secure any kind of European football for next season. Also last seen on Premier League duties getting hit with a 1-0 loss against Everton in North London, Arsenal have managed to win just a pair of their last nine matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to the middle of March. With just a single clean sheet to their name in their last 12 top-flight contests, we’re backing both teams to find the net this weekend.
