Looking to shore up their position in the play-off spots in midweek, Sutton will welcome Dagenham & Redbridge to the Knights Community Stadium on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Sutton might have found themselves almost stuck in National League limbo before last year’s interrupted campaign was brought to an early halt, the Yellows have impressed this time around. Last seen over the weekend when putting on what was a real clinic on home soil, Matt Gray’s men managed to pick up a thumping 5-1 win against King’s Lynn Town and they have now managed to muster back-to-back National League victories. Bouncing back from their FA Cup heartbreak against Bromley last month, the U’s know that three points in midweek will see them move within a point of league leaders Torquay. Collecting a hugely impressive 15 points from just their last six fifth-tier outings, we could be in for another lively contest in Surrey this week.

As for the visitors, although Dagenham & Redbridge might still be playing catchup after what was a worrying start to the 2020/2021 campaign, they have managed to bounce back in impressive fashion. Managing to pick up maximum points away at Boreham Wood over the weekend, the Daggers have won three of their last four matchups across all competitions and also extended on their FA Cup adventure thanks to a hugely impressive 3-1 win against League Two outfit Grimsby. Despite their inconsistencies away from the Chigwell Construction Stadium, Daryl McMahon’s men could be confident of causing what would be a real upset on their travels this week. With each of the last three straight meetings between Tuesday’s opponents seeing both teams find the net, we’re backing a similar outcome in Surrey.
