Both teams to score at West Ham vs Manchester United 4/6 for Saturday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/6 @ 888sport

Looking to pick up another notable scalp this weekend, a high-flying West Ham will welcome Manchester United to East London on Saturday evening.

Starting with the hosts, while West Ham might have opened the new campaign with a sluggish 2-0 defeat at home against Newcastle, David Moyes’ men have certainly bounced back in some style. Although the Hammers might have just about crawled themselves over the finish line on Monday night, the one-time Manchester United boss saw his side hang onto a 2-1 win against Aston Villa in East London. Despite just about managing to hold onto their top-flight status over the summer after what was a hugely disappointing campaign last season, West Ham find themselves enjoying a three-match Premier League winning run and they open this weekend’s fixtures sat as high as fifth in the table. Losing just one of their last eight top-flight contests and taking points off of the likes of Leicester, Wolves, Tottenham and Manchester City on that run, they will be confident of causing an upset this weekend.

As for the visitors, although Manchester United might have managed to mount that stunning turnaround on the South Coast last weekend, they could not drag that momentum into Champions League duties on Tuesday night. Eventually hit with a 3-1 defeat against French giants PSG at Old Trafford and now in an uphill battle to secure their spot in the knockout stage, the Reds saw their four-match winning run come to an abrupt end. While they might have continued to show a string of issues at the back, United should take some solace from their eye-catching Premier League purple patch on the road. Including that dramatic 3-2 win away at Southampton last weekend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won each of their last eight top-flight contests away from Old Trafford.
