In a real battle at the top of the National League table, Wrexham will welcome Notts County to the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to mount what was a stunning turnaround on the road over the weekend, there is no doubt that the mood in Wrexham’s camp will be at a red-hot high. Suddenly sat in pole position to clinch a play-off spot and looking to book a Football League return this year, The Reds were last seen on Saturday picking up a 3-2 win away at Boreham Wood after falling two goals behind. Managing to build off of that thumping 3-0 win against Yeovil on May 8th and showing a real clinical edge in the final third, Dean Keates’ men are unbeaten in their last seven National League contests, collecting a hugely impressive 17 points. Including back-to-back 4-0 victories against Halifax and Woking last month, it should also be noted that Wrexham have bagged themselves 18 goals on their seven-match unbeaten run.

As for the visitors, while Notts County might also be enjoying their own bright run in the final third, The Magpies should be disappointed to have thrown away the lead over the weekend. Eventually having to settle for a 2-2 draw against Bromley, the Nottinghamshire outfit still find themselves holding a one-point buffer from dropping out of the play-off spots. Facing what is a crucial showdown on the road in midweek, Ian Burchnall’s men have still mustered 10 points from their last four fifth-tier contests, including back-to-back 4-0 and 4-1 wins against Maidenhead and Barnet. It should be noted, with Notts seeing four of their last five National League matchups finish with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome on Tuesday night.
