Mbark Boussoufa has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht with another two years, and will now be staying until 2012.

Boussoufa, now 23 years old, recently told the team to start acting as the player was reportedly in the plans of Newcastle United.

Now that the contract is signed, Boussoufa is clear about his intentions: “I want to grow at Anderlecht for at least one more year, or two. The longer I’m here, the better I feel. I play my best football here at Anderlecht. Here I constantly perform on a higher level.

Boussoufa played for Ajax and Chelsea in the past, and scored five goals in 22 matches for Anderlecht this season. One of the goals was scored during the lost cup final with AA Gent.
