Looking to pick up their first victory in this year’s EFL Trophy, Bradford will welcome League One outfit and away day strugglers Lincoln to Valley Parade on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in what was a sluggish display on the road over the weekend, and hit with a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Leyton Orient, there is no doubt that Bradford will be glad to make a return to Valley Parade on Tuesday night. Enjoying what has been an eye-catching start to the new campaign and with their sights set on securing an automatic promotion spot this time around, The Bantams have gained a reputation for their continued success in West Yorkshire. Last seen on home soil landing a thumping 4-1 win against Stevenage, they have won each of their last four contests at Valley Parade, including a 2-0 win against Championship side Blackburn in a friendly contest last month.

As for the visitors, while Lincoln might have managed to open their EFL Trophy run with a 3-2 win against Manchester United’s U21’s last week, The Imps do find themselves in the midst of what has been a worrying blip. Putting in what was another downbeat display over the weekend, Micheal Appleton’s men were hit with a deserved 3-1 defeat away at Oxford, and the pressure is really starting to mount on the former Portsmouth boss. Including that defeat on the road a few days ago, it should also be noted that Tuesday’s guests have failed to win any of their last five away fixtures, suffering four defeats. Given their continued problems away from Sincil Bank, don’t be surprised to see Bradford pick up a point here.
