Brentford want big money for top stars

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Brentford want to receive in excess of £50 million in order to agree to the sale of Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins.

Both players played key roles in guiding the Bees to the Championship playoff final, and while they may not have been able to take them one step further, they certainly put themselves on the map in a big way.

Benrahma is particularly high on the list of players that are wanted across the Premier League, but for the time being, Brentford will almost definitely calm things down and wait to see how the dust settles in the wake of their playoff defeat to local rivals Fulham at Wembley.

The club is going to need some kind of financial injection or boost after the loss, and while many feel as if they’re going to bounce back and challenge for promotion once again next season, it isn’t going to be that simple.
