Brighton sign Ajax defender

Brighton and Hove Albion had a tough time staying in the Premier League last season. Right after getting clear of relegation, they sacked Chris Hughton, as the club wanted to get someone who will take the side forward and play different style of football.

In came Graham Potter from Swansea City and he changed the way Brighton played from the off. His side was often lining up in a 3-5-2 formation with lots of possession and interesting build-up play. Now that the Seagulls finished their second season back in the Premier League with five points more than last year, they now announced their first big signing of the summer.

That is Joel Veltman, Ajax central defender who can also play as right-back. He signed a three-year deal and at 28, is very experienced player who could be bring great quality to this team. The Dutchman also has Champions League experience from his Ajax days.
